The Plot
This Rodgers and Hammerstein classic centers around a nurse in the South Pacific during World War II and her romance with a French plantation owner, alongside a romantic subplot between a U.S. Marine lieutenant and a young Tonkinese woman. The musical is fun and romantic while also taking on serious issues and themes like racial prejudice, war, and identity.

What does "in concert" mean?
"In concert" means that all of the songs you love will be right there on the stage, as well as the storyline, dialogue, and cast, backed by a full orchestra. The difference is there won't be long scene or costume changes, so the show will move a bit faster both in production and on the stage.
